Ruth Ilg, an award-winning artist,
photographer, and trilingual poet, resides at Biltmore Lake, North Carolina, USA. Ms. Ilg employs a wide spectrum
of techniques, styles, media, and themes in her paintings. She is known for her delicate watercolor botanicals,
brilliant acrylic abstract paintings, unique mixed-media collages and paintings, miniature acrylic & oil landscapes and
seascapes, vibrant geometric designs, luminous reverse glass paintings, and for her innovative encaustic work.
"Although the inspiration for
my work comes from many different sources, I am especially drawn to nature, music, poetry, and the inner world
of dreams and emotions. Through the exploration of color, form and texture--whether representational or abstract--I hope to
create a visual dialogue between the image and the viewer, and thereby building a bridge for universal communication and understanding."
