You may as well go ahead and cut your own throat!
Several years ago I decided to stop purchasing products
manufactured in countries that did not have
democratically elected governments, with China
being first and foremost among these. Over
the years, my decision as only caused me small
inconveniences. Either I had to "shop
around" to find what I wanted, or find an
acceptable substitute. Sometimes I paid a little more, but at least I was satisfied in knowing
that my money was not going to a dictatorial regime.
Having done what I can on my
own, and spreading the word through my local newspaper, I now join
the ranks of other boycott web sites, to add my voice in hopes that
even one person may be swayed to do the right thing.
First off, I am not an isolationist or a protectionist.
I am in favor of Free Trade. But for Free Trade to work it requires that the people on
both sides of the
equation to be exactly that. FREE.
Also, I want to state that I am NOT saying that the USA is perfect, and does not have problems of
it's own. Far from it. But the difference is that we have
the mechanisim to change our state.
